Race report by Uwe Baldes
XRAY has celebrated two wins and two more podium visits at round two of the Nitro-West-Masters, a popular on-road racing series mainly held in Western Germany. Furthermore, XRAY was the leading chassis brand with 17 competitors in the field of 55 participants.

In the 1/10 scale class (VG10) the newly crowned European B Champion Thilo Toedtmann pushed his Orcan powered XRAY NT1’2014 to TQ and led the main race in the beginning. But he felt a lot of pressure from racers like RenĂ© Puepke, Benjamin Lehmann and young Melvin Diekmann which managed to lead the race for a while when Toedtmann dropped back. Finally Toedtman fought back and returned to the first spot achieving the victory with Puepke and Lehmann on second and third in the lead lap as well. XRAY racers Faed Labik and Dennis Krings finished seventh and tenth.

Bad luck hit Hepp, the winner of the season opener at Oberhausen, in the main race when an electronic issue forced him to retire after less than five minutes. Finally Uwe Baldes brought his Orcan powered RX8’2014 home on third to achieve his first podium visit after his move to XRAY. Roemer came on fourth.

In HC10, the 1/10 scale hobby cup class, Thorsten Lewandowski gave another victory to XRAY. Following his TQ he led the 30 minutes finale from lights to checkered and had a six lap advantage over Sures Velauthapillai on second to make it a 1-2 for XRAY. Rookie Timo Niedling finished on fifth place while Oberhausen winner Hans-Werner Dietz was a bit disappointed to bring his NT1 home only on position seven with XRAY fellows Marc Oschewski and Florian Trapp on eight and ten.
